Normal skin
Normal skin has barely any visible pores and radiant pinkish complexions, with no imperfections. Usually normal skin has an adequate amount of water, lipids and balance between them with a moderate sensitivity level.
Dry skin
Dry skin has almost invisible pores and a dull, rough complexion with red patches. Often times you may feel your skin is tight or flakey. Dry skin is sometimes normal and not oily, but sometimes can be fine and delicate.
Oily skin
Oily skin has large or dilated pores, shiny complexion, blackheads and pimples. The oiliness of the skin can change from day to day, depending on the sun, wind, time of the year, and weather. The oil glands produce excessive lipids.
Combination skin
Combination skin is overly dilated and tends to have blackheads and be shiny. The skin is either overly dry or excessively oily, with occasional roughness on the cheeks. This is also commonly known as the T-Zone. Another common breakout area to watch for is the nose.
Blackheads
Blackheads, also known as open comedones, are follicles that have a wider than normal opening. They are filled with plugs of sebum and sloughed-off cells. The excess oil trapped in the follicle turns black when it is exposed to the air.

T-zone
The T-zone is the area of the face that is the most prone to where acne occurs. The T-zone starts from the middle and sides of the forehead and extends down the middle of the nose, including the sides of the nose and down to the chin. These are common areas for excess oil, acne and blackheads.
